It is that time of year again … tax time. In the past, I always knew I would get a tax refund each year. I set it up this way so I had a nice little boost each February. This made doing taxes pretty much a joy. When Dan and I got married, we both enjoyed getting a refund at tax time. Again, this made doing taxes fun. We were excited to see how much we could spend on a bit of a “gift” to ourselves.
However, since I started working for myself, it is a bit of a guessing game if we will get a refund each year. I try estimating what we will owe and pay quarterly taxes. Some years I do a great job… others, not so much. This year, I think we are on track to get another refund, and we are really excited. We both agree that we want to spend our tax refund on some new technology. We haven’t come to an agreement on exactly what we want yet, but we know we are going to take advantage of the deals that Samsung is offering at Walmart!
Dan’s Samsung wish list
Dan is leaning more towards the usual man cave necessities. When we are at Walmart, I can always find him loitering in the electronics section checking out the TVs. He has his eye on this Samsung 60″ 4K Ultra HD 2160p 60Hz LED Smart HDTV.
I have to admit that it would be a huge upgrade from our current TV. We’ve never owned a smart TV before! Plus, the slim design and amazing 4K resolution are really incredible. Walmart has a lot of Samsung TVs to choose from right now.
In addition to the TV, he would love to get the Samsung Sound Bar 2.1ch 130W Wireless Subwoofer.
Apparently, it is really easy to setup and the sound quality is amazing. With these two upgrades, I think I might enjoy the “man cave” more than he would! We would feel like we are watching TV in a movie theater.
My Samsung wish list
I am leaning more towards new mobile phones for both of us. We have old Samsung Galaxy phones that we love, but we could really use some upgrades. The Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S7 LTE Prepaid Smartphone has excellent reviews.
The slim design, large memory, and big screen would be perfect for us! Plus, I’ve heard great things about Straight Talk. My sister has it and says she will never go back to the other carriers. Look at the Samsung phone deals going on right now.
Another idea is a new tablet for myself. Dan just got one recently and I am a bit jealous. Take a look at the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab E-9.6″ 16GB Android Tablet -Wi-Fi.
It has a lot of expandable memory which makes it great for taking my movies and shows on the go. Car trips would be less boring, not to mention long plane rides! Here are the other Samsung tablets at Walmart.
